Well, at the very least for Reisen's sake she can brace herself when jumping in unlike if she really hadn't seen it.

I love the way Tewi is smiling in the first panel, as if to say 'Look at this neat trap I made! Aren't you proud of me?'

I honestly kind of wonder why Tewi makes pitfall traps in a world where flight is commonplace.
