Screwed up and added it to the wrong pool. Is there a way to remove an image from a pool?

Yeah just go to it and tag "delete mode", like how you delete favorites.

But there isn't a "Delete mode" checkbox in the "Missing Thumbnails" pool. Is this because I didn't create that pool?

Oh, I didn't know that, but I guess so! I guess you'll just have to wait for the creator of that pool (wanchan) to come along and delete it.
