That just rules. Good one, moon-people! You're smarter than pretty much the entire United States! (Not that that's difficult or anything.) I can hardly wait until some of the people who waited ridiculous times or paid ridiculous amounts realize just how much they wasted...
There's plenty of gamers in Japan, but portable gaming does much, much better because of all the commuting so many people do and all the trains that are available. At least the 360's not such a huge beast as the original Xbox.
Personally I think it's just that people aren't quite ready for the next generation of consoles yet. I know I'm quite happy with my PS2 and have no plans to get the upcoming PS3 for at least a few years. I may pick up an Xbox (original, not 360) if it drops in price some more.
