  • I was born for this.

Oh boy, what can I say about Journey? I always figured art was defined by the emotional impact it had on the viewer/listener. Journey had a more profound impact on me than any piece of media that came before it.
I've put around 200 hours into the mass effect series. Went on plenty of adventures with its characters. In hours of dialogue I got to know each one of ME's characters well. Lost some, loved others, but none of them came close to gaining the emotional attachment I had to the first stranger I completed Journey with. Not a single word spoken between us, no names given or introductions and yet almost a year after playing the game the artwork and music tear through my emotions like a rampaging Hulk.
Its taught me that you can get a lot more than just fun out of a video game and everyone at That Game Company(and Mr. Wintory) have my deepest thanks. What an amazing experience.
If you haven't played this game, go play it. If you don't own the soundtrack, go buy it. Its all well worth your time and money.

Oh yeah this painting. I really liked one of the(oh, spoilers?) final shots of the mountain during the credits of the game. Pretty colorful sky. So I painted that and plopped in a fresh new red cloak ready to take on its journey.
