either she keeps her distance from Madoka and allows her to mingle with the other girls, or she tries to monopolize Madoka's friendship to herself while keeping Sayaka and the others at odds.
Since there wouldn't be much conflict if it was the former, I'd wager the latter is what we're going to get.
Well the post-credits scene was similar to this. Not to mention she sets up others' lives nicely and gives Madoka her ribbon back, so monopolising is quite unlikely. Also, on a longer scale, as she says "someday, we'll become enemies".But I guess pretty much everything about that film is still under debate
that things won't be sunshine and roses for everyone. Breaking a teacup and wasting an apple are both malicious actions against Mami and Kyouko, respectively.
And of course, there's Sayaka, who is determined to stand up against Homura, to which Homura seems delighted by the outcome as well as threatening her to "play nice or even she may hate you".
My guess is that the sequel will first play out like a Slice of Life series where everyone is getting along (minus some Sayaka/Homura bickering), but some shocking revelations regarding Homura's new world will cause Sayaka to take action against Homura.
The question is who will stand with Sayaka to restore the Law of Cycles to its original state, and who will side with Homura to keep their illusory world from breaking?
Those refereed to earlier in the movie. The "malicious actions" while assuring their perfect daily life (which she could have easily not done) mean that she is angry that they freed her when that would endanger Madoka. Remember when she says she trusts them and is certain they will kill her? And then that trust is betrayed. If she was planning to go against them, she wouldn't have given them the life they want.There was the threatening Sayaka to "play nice or even she may hate you", which spoke about monopolising quite directly. However, that was before giving Madoka her red ribbon back. The very last scene we see is a secluded Homura.Trying to guess how exactly Urobuchi will play a sequel is not likely to lead to success, but what you described does seem likely.
