I just want to say that the displayed bullet trail, and assisting bullet flight to hit a certain point only makes it easier for people to predict where the bullets are coming and counter them like shown here. Those who want to play a serious shooter would not want these features because it'll hinder them, especially seeing how things like the Photon Sword exists and is usable, even if it's just an extra. And I don't remember them having any gun that uses something other than normal bullets, so they have no chance against the laser blade(seriously, why a laser? They'd get an easier time if it were a normal blade).
The game is better designed for people to be a jedi than being a gunner, and I believe people would love to have these features if there's a jedi game.
I'm not gonna say it's bad writing, per se. If he has to be unique then they need to make an acceptable excuse for it, I guess. Just let it roll.
