Explanation:
Episodes 1 to 6. The series is boring as hell.
Episodes 7 to 23 (I'd say to 17-18). The series becomes great. Action everywhere, there seems to be a triangle between Asuka, Shinji and Ayanami, obsviously very slight and covered in all the illness of every character.
Episdodes 24: You yell a great WHAT THE FUCK!
And the Death&Rebirth (25 & 26) you cry in desperation.

I'm a great fan of eva, but eps. 25/26 were the lamest shit ever. They actually ran out of money when making them so they remade everything with simple drawings and lame etch-a-sketch graphics, and saved the real ending to End Of Eva.

I know what you mean. I remember a crayon drawing at one point. But even in End Of Eva, they start using footage of the audience, then people walking down the street and stuff. They still found a way to cheap out.

It would make no sense whatsoever to animate those scenes because the entire nature of those shots depend on them being images from "real" life. Were you even listening to the dialog during that part of the film?

Yup, listening to almost word for word dialog from the last episode, watching my money go down the drain. Dialog that had once been represented by crayons was now cheap lowres home video. Even if it had something to do with the plot, it smacked of low-budget.

I... kinda regret reviving this image from obscurity.

Eps 25 & 26 were my favourites.

I liked 25 and 26. And End of Evangelion.

25@26 are probably what's going throuh Shinji's head during Instrumentality, just the ending in 26 and EoE is different.
