    Nice art.
What about tag "black and white art"? or something like that.

That seems to be the idea - that the armaments attach to those like mount points instead of just being worn like gear.

Am I the only one who have some ghost in the Shell(among others things) vibes when I look at this?
    Probably due to the connections.

    I'm thinking more of Freezing.

Well we don't see such rigging on the larger ships like cruisers and battleships. So maybe they do have hardpoints on their backs.

Brain-Machine Interface. Very Ghost in the Shell.

Those look to be a bit frail for hardpoints, though they're just the right size for interface jacks. You'd need something wider and more reinforced to hold all the weight of that gear, plus the pull from inertia it'll cause during normal operations.

Good point. The larger top pair could conceivably serve as anchors, but none of the rest of them. Also, I'd think anchor points would be over bone, since anything heavy that you'd want stably attached to a human body would best be attached to the structural framework of said body.

Whereas interface jacks are better placed over flesh for flexibility, but near the spine to be close to the human body's control network - and these ports would do nicely for that purpose. The big ones, then, are big because they have the highest bandwidth, so need to be closer to the top of the spine.
