    McDonald's is very standardized. It doesn't matter where in the world you are, the interior of a McDonald's is going to look very familiar, even if the layout and some minor things are different.

    Specifically, it's a strategy by the corporation itself to make every McDonalds look the same (which they require by contract with any franchise holder). All McDonalds restaurants MUST look the same, much less serve the corporate-mandated menus using corporate-mandated suppliers, because they believe that it helps promote sales.

    That is, no matter where you are, they always serve the same things and look the same, and they think that helps set up a pattern where you buy the same crappy burgers at the same time no matter where you go or what you're doing in life...
