This (nicely made) pic is detailing a mecha battle that never happened in the games.
On the left is ES Ruben, Jin Uzuki's samurai-esque mecha unit.
On the right is ES Judah, the Red Testament's mecha unit, which you never ever fight in the games (which is too bad, in my view).
It's a bit hard to tell what's going on, but it seems that ES Judah just casually sliced through Jin's No-Dachi. Blame it on the somewhat dodgy composition (a word meaning how elements are placed in a picture to lead a viewer's eye where you want it to go). Why KOS-MOS isn't in her own mecha, ES Dinah, with Shion helping Jin in the fight of his life is beyond me.
