Going to have to agree with you on this one. Although I'd say it's stupid for Kaguya being portrayed as herself to be rare. All touhous suffer from this but Kaguya is one of those that the fanbase just threw out everything canon about her.

You have to admit that Kaguya has a certian contemporary look to her. I think that next to Reimu, and Youmu, she's probably the most Japananese looking Touhou character, out of the entire roster. It just makes her stand out more, and i think that Zun did a good job creating this character, becasue unlike the other characters, she seems to have a calm vibe towards everything, and manages to somewhat stoic, yet innocent looking. Plus she's pretty much the only Touhou character to not have any sort of agendas with Gensoyoko, and keeps to herself. She, and Mokou are the most complex, well-written, and most fleshed out charaters in the series.
