Concept art of Satsuki, Nui, Aikuro, Tsumugu, Isshin, the mysterious character Jigoku and male Ragyo, illustrated by Sushio in The Art of KlK Vol 1.
In the Nakashima interview featured in the KlK Guidebook Kamui Bansho he confirmed that Ragyo was indeed intended to be Satsuki’s Father at first. He listed many reasons why they changed it into her mother in the end but I couldn’t understand much, if anyone could translate the passage I’d be very grateful!
