Ah a crossbow. Slightly better. Also a damage control fairy as standard. It this later in the war as a night carrier, or early in the war when she was lucky as hell?

What do you meant when she was lucky as hell? She was the luckiest ship throughout the whole damn war. Call me biased but I prefer jeanex's enterprise but this is still good by the way, don't get me wrong but jeanex's Grey Ghost just feels right

this is much better. a crossbow would fit well for a USN carrier aside from cannon launchers that transform into planes.

I was thinking muskets myself (shooting planes like Bullet Bills. Really fits the shark teeth motif painted on some planes, especially the Corsairs). Both the British and Japanese have archery as part of their cultural traditions, but the most definitive part of the US is arguably the Revolutionary War. Plus, most WWII USN Carriers have a Revolutionary War motif (Yorktown, Lexington, Saratoga, etc).

Bows just seem out of place unless the carrier has a Native American motif, which, well, has unfortunate implications of its own.

Jeanex's design is still my favorite though, but I always found that bow to be out of place.

Arguably all USN ships have damecons onboard as standard.

Yeah true. But I do recall that the insignia of some carriers are cannons.
