Is this a refrence to an event in real life? I'm not exactly up to date on my world events knowledge. But it feels like it is.
Although it could just be referring to Hopeless Masquarade, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Also referencing to the recent animosity between radical muslims and the general public in Indonesia which have resurfaced as of 2015, though it is relatively invisible in media compared to other political events.
