It was adorable right up until the very end. Although I can see these two being destroyer magnets for Tenryuu and Kiso, I mean come on... that dog is criminally cute.
Then later, in a few years...
That chick is gonna end up being a badass eagle with a hat and eyepatch while that cute dog is gonna become a wolf.
But anyway, Status Quo Is God, and once again nothing is resolved so that puchi-con gags can be preserved for future author use until this joke wears too thin, like Nenohi's did.
Now to see what additional gags can be wrung out of a dog and bird... If they really are destroyer-magnets, then you know Nagato is going to want a pet, too.
