I'd say the former judging from the dialogue, but john1980 did raise an interesting point with his their link to that anime/manga series.

It's the former. This is one of the products borne of the increasingly absurd and illogical tsundere stereotypes as of late, unlike when the concept was still fresh in the past.

Not like it's bad, but tsunderes like this can put you off sometimes.
