My guess would be that Admiral Teito Kuu learned her home-making class as a student to a certain Snake. Hey, modern military academies nowadays require wilderness survival skills as a prerequisite for graduation, y'know?

But then again she is an admiral. Maybe it's kinda hard to approach someone with importance.
