The Tenryuu-class IS the 3rd-oldest class in the game, so it's still valid. Still, it's nice to see Kiso CARES enough to try something like that, even if the date was wrong.

Technically, Tenryuu was the fourth oldest, if we separate the BBV classes. Fusou-class was the second while Ise-class was the third.
