I wouldn't mind having a friend who was a health nut. Food would probably taste like poop, but I'd certainly be living a hell of a lot better than I am now.

"Translation is progress. Please wait warmly." Heehee. :) I don't blame you for struggling with the wall of text, @DevilDevilish, but the Engrish you used for the placeholder is delightful.

I can't stop laughing at that.

Seeing that wall of text scared the hell out of me lol
Someone else ended up translating it before I'm done, which I am thankful for. Times like these make me awfully conscious of how I'm lacking in terms of vocabulary. I didn't know those kanji reads as "nutrition", "burdock", and "abundant/rich amount". Not knowing what a burdock is (I ended up having to google it) because English is not my native tongue made it even worse.

Poor Ohagi-chan seems embarrassed to be associated with the health nut.

It's a memetic loading text from Touhou. "Girls are preparing, please wait warmly."

(Cleaned up the text a bit)

To be fair, gobo is normally written in kana. It's also delicious, and makes excellent tempura - you can make it like french fries, making an excellent bar snack. I'm a great fan. (It's also really cheap).

Don't worry about having to google words, even Japanese people have to do that sometimes especially when a word is presented differently to how it normally would be written. If you have real trouble, you can type/ocr the whole thing into a machine translator to get a list of the words (not for the actual translation).

Thanks for the clean up, always appreciated. Translating things also serves as practice for me (in both English and Japanese), so I try to learn whenever my translation got corrected by others.

Interesting, that burdock plant is completely new to me. Doesn't seems like they are common in the places where I lived so far. That, or I didn't realize having eaten it before ww

And thanks for the additional info too. I'll try that machine translator method if I encounter this kind of problem again.

Gobo also makes an excellent insult, I'm told.

Healthy food can taste even better than some "yummy fastfood" if your health nut is also a passable cook. Plus, they'd actually know how to cook properly to retain both the nutrition and flavor.

I'd still go for the fastfood, though, for the sake of expediency.

I'm looking forward to working with you.
Anyway, umm... If it's okay, here...
    That's great!
    Yeah.
    A set meal, it is.
Hagikaze has arrived! This here is Ohagi-chan. Ohagi is a sweet made with beanpaste
That's right! The barley in the barley rice has a great amount of fiber so that not only it can prevent constipation, it also helps with digestion! Also, the side-dish of vegetables have been steeped in *komatsuna which is chock-full of nutrition, see! Especially when it comes to calcium! Next we have the burdock and tofu... Japanese mustard spinach
    You understand!?
    A-a health nut!!!
    Sure seems healthy, doesn't it~
This is Hagikaze's healthy breakfast meal set. Along with barley rice, it also has excellent pickled vegetables, miso soup containing burdock root and tofu, and pickled radish. It should be noted that Hagikaze is using kanji here where you'd normally just use kana - giving it a 'high-class' feel
