So moral of the story is... don't do steroids?

From like Gen 4 or Gen 5, stat-ups from EVs get recalculated every time the Pokemon gets put into the box. If he hasn't eaten all his vitamins yet, he can still become stronger.

He can't ever evolve and gets stuck with Machop-tier base stats forever, though.
