Someone just tell her she misread Shinpo's name already! Really, am I the only one to want to correct such mistakes? That's exactly happened in my classes too. Must because my surname was misread (very possibly intentionally) for the word "penis" in Vietnamese like Shinpo.

This takes me back to the Nipples the hamster joke in Mitsudomoe. I can't remember how it went exactly but it was something like ''Nipples is standing up! (erect)'' or some kind of crazy Japanese word play like that.

This is why my sis's friend who're a returnee from Japan laughed her life at the faucet at my old high school.. The brand on the faucet is 'Manco'..

SOrry, but my case was a 100% Vietnamese/native speaker of Vietnamese. It's kind of a trauma to me so I'm sensitive to speaking the wrong name.

The [/s] meant I was being sarcastic. I actually agree with you, but the kids are basically being portrayed in the image as having the time of their lives watching Ellen butcher the name and unlikely to correct her because they think her inevitable horror and embarrassment will be even funnier. Basically, the kids are being brats.

SOrry for not taking in the sarcastic point then. Really, I'm not good with slang/abbreviation.

Going by that blush and look on her face, Ellen knows exactly what she's doing, doesn't she?
