Unrequited Love
Hijiri, filled with non-romantic love. And Shou, who resolutely chases after her.
Though she embraces her special feelings for Shou, Nue's feelings towards Hijiri of indebtedness, envy, jealousy, unworthiness... all those emotions all swirl together.
Their relationship can't even be said to form a triangle.
That's the kind of background I have in my head for them. In my head.
