This may result in spoilers, but I'm going to supplement a bit: In order to get a certain carrier-san as a mission reward, the player's fleet requires a carrier in its composition (though I hear that's now become unnecessary). The current game has a play reproduction property too, and so this content has become based on outdated methods. And so you can now acquire a certain carrier-san even by getting a carrier through construction or drops.
