Only a few elderly artists have ever worn them in Britain, and I'll venture a guess that less than 5% of Yanks go about in them. Nor are many Germans or Italians, the great well-springs of Europa, sporting these useless items. The French and Basques, sure, and there they stayed until they infected the British and other armies in WWII.
