Can hear the Mario World BGM with the Yoshi drums in my head. I used to dump Yoshi as a springboard in Vanilla Dome - very handy to gain some exta height with the Cape power up.

You haven't played one of those tricky custom maps (like the Kaizou series) before, have you? No blue shells (or blue Yoshis) and you can't "time your jump better" because the jump is just that wide and the landing zone may even be higher than your starting point (and/or riddled with invisible blocks). Heck, oftentimes you need to time your "fuck you Yoshi" move precisely, so there's not much leeway for doing anything else.

I'd play a Warspite sprite hack version of Super Mario World - someone just needs to compress/16-bit her into Mario's sprite set and fix the palette.
