With the leaks on the new Gen 7 becoming more credible by the day, as well as the onset of Alolan forms (I'M LOOKING AT ALL THREE OF YOU EXEGGUTOR AND SCREAMING), I had the sudden urge to draw one of the "starters." While initially unlikeable to me, it's certainly grown on me.

To be honest, I like all three designs, should they pan out to be real. Even if they're not, I think they're all pretty great. But what I love most about this guy, should the rumors turn out true, is that it's not Fighting-type. So they say, it can be Fire/Dark, Fire/Ghost, Fire/Poison, or pure Fire. But not the uh, long-coveted type that no fire starter gets. 

So here we are, Beltigre. And Machamp.
