That's one of the stupidest reason to flag a picture I've seen so far.

Nah, i saw worse things. But seriously - This is completely fine working breast. I think that some moderator has some horribly developed kind of Death The Kid-like OCD.

Wow, you guys don't know how to stop, huh? Stop whining about flags. Let the mods and approvers judge if this pic is worthy to be in here or not.

Why we should stop to comment somebody's bad work? I don't see any reason to allow this to happen. I see some unhealty increase in flagger's sensitivity and i just feel that it's not right.

Because it's utterly pointless to bad-mouthing someone else in the comment, either it's the flagger, mods, approvers etc. because it won't change anything. What you guys did is just fanning the flames of a potential drama.

The increase of flag activity nowadays is the aftermath of a certain thread. If you want a detail, let's do it through PM. Comment section isn't the best place for that.

The point of the moderators from what I understand is to make sure only the best artwork is accepted.
So logically wouldn't if be better for them to find as many reasons to flag for deletion as possible, so that only the top 1% survive the process?

That would work if there's no approbation system. That flag bullshit is basically just sending pictures through yet another approbation system.
But my theory is that someone got power-hungry and decided to flag random pictures for retarded reasons. A shame the flagger's identity is hidden.

It's actually a very good thing that the flagger's identity is hidden, reading comments like these as well as for example most comments by Drewko on flagged pictures. Moderators can still see the identity of flaggers, so if someone is abusing the option, they will be dealt with appropriately - without giving users the possibility of harassing them because god forbid they flagged a picture you liked or judged wasn't flag-worthy.
You guys need to calm down. Also, there's a massive difference between calmly discussing a flag's validity with proper arguments, and just throwing inflammatory and abrasive comments toward flags, flaggers, the website, the moderators, or whatever else.
"I don't think this should be flagged, the anatomy is fine because [X argument]." = Fine.
"This flagger is retarded and power-hungry, re-approve this picture already." = Not fine.

Also, appealing a picture that is flagged is absolutely pointless and serves absolutely no purpose except wasting your appeal in case the picture doesn't get approved again.

And finally, no, I did not flag this, nor would I have.

To be clear is there a time limit where it stops being a waste of time. For example a picture was flagged for being against the rules. But in that time the rules changed to make it fine. Would waiting for the flag to be 6+ months old make any difference?

It's funny because most flags but also approvals are coming from me (in the last few weeks at least). So, take your pick, but you will get problems in one way or the other to say anything against this person eho is flagging :3.
About this flag: Well, guess I didn't look good enough and I made a mistake. The flag is more than just correct.

    Sorry for that double-post

To appeal a post while it is flagged is NOT pointless. The appeal won't disappear after the post is deleted. It will stay forever as far as I know. It will then appear here and stay there, even if the post then gets approved. So an appeal is working and it will appear in the mod queue. So if at all, it's the exact opposite of "pointless" because a Janitor will see the appeal during this phase and can use it even before the deletion and then decide to approve or not approve.

Ah, gotcha. I thought I'd heard it mentioned several times that appealing during the "flagged" phase of a post served no purpose (except maybe shove your opinion at the top.) Must have been mistaken, then. Thanks for the ping.
The rest of my points still stand, though... Funny downvotes.

Well, it's only my point of view. I don't know how other Janitors and Mods are looking at this subject. But for me, it can help sometimes (especially after I clicked a flagged post away, so it will disappear from my queue. Then I can still look at the appeal page^^)

Is the same person allowed to re-flag? Or is this someone who agreed with the first person?

Oh, so this is why @Flandre5carlet PM'ed me several days ago.

Let haters take their fill, I guess. Not like they can do anything but whining or shitposting. The fact that my comments that criticized them got downvoted further supports that idea.

@Improvman_Epsilon: A single person can only flag a post once, so this must have been flagged by someone else who agreed with the original flag.
