One could say he's actually "young enough." As in, that age where you can watch horribly perverted and ethically messed up cartoons while having no clue what's going on other than it being entertaining.

I may be a bit of an oddball here... But I'm actually happy for Mutsu here.

Yamashiro might have rough, but Mutsu doesn't have any easier after all: She has the second lowest luck stat in the game (and the lowest among battleships), she's constantly regarded as snail/slug due to her headgear, she's constantly pigeonholed as either a slutty seductress or downright nympho, she's forced to try to prevent her sister ship's harassment attempts on destroyers...and Hoppo (which is like trying to stop a tornado by blowing at it) and last but not least... her whole "third turret" issue has been used so many times that she has blown up more times than a Saibaimen plantation.

So I'm glad she gets some spotlight for once, way to go Mucchan ^^

Mutsu gets a fair amount of play as the "mature, feminine onee-chan." (Basically, the same role she's getting here.) And one can be 'attractive' without being 'slutty'.

Mutslug isn't nearly as prevalent to her character as Ryuujou The Flattop or Akagi the Gluttonous Fiend or even your own implied Nagamon are to those respective characters, and Kashima, Hamakaze, and Atago, among others, have a lot more to complain about when it comes to sexualization. She also gets far more deban than virtualy all of the destroyers or any light cruiser besides KTKM, Ooi, and Ooyodo. I'm not sure being Nagamon's restraining bolt is even a negative for Mutsu, just Nagato.

(You're also forgetting hearthrobbing Mutsu, slapstick victim Mutsu, and shy girl Mutsu.)

Even in the anime, she was basically a not-evil Tatsuta.

Mutsu doesn't get much in terms of starring roles, but she certainly gets better than most kanmusu.

As for the rest... Well... sorry for being an oddball, having those tastes and getting happy to see a scenario that even if it seems to be more common than my(apparently fanboyish) observation let on is still rare enough (for me at the very least) to be happy to see it triggering.
