After bragging about how she'd beat Kagerou at fishing, she's having to buy some to take home to her squadron. I'd say failing to catch anything is embarrassing enough. Especially when the Shitty Admiral is the one selling them to her. And, judging by his comments, willing to give them to her for free as he'll pay her bill.

In her defense, that saury fishing c**p makes many admirals pull their hair out. And to begin with, that ship passed AFTER Akebono started fishing there. I'd say it's more about Shiro's superior luck + better equipment (net vs fishing rod) than pure trolling. (That's how the Admiral usually comes back to haunt Bono, anyway)

I don't see any proof he was actually on that boat, or that the boat we saw actually stopped to fish in that spot. I think SHT TTK is just a grocer that buys the fish, rather than an actual fisherman.

At least she was planning on buying those fishes for the others so they would get any, not (only) so she wouldn't have to admit she didn't get any while fishing.
