I'm always confused by images with condoms prominently displayed yet clearly not used.
Condoms in fan illustrations are like "Yes <3" pillows. They illustrate consent towards sex, not that they want to practice safe sex (since nobody gets STDs or struggles to pay childcare in hentailand).
