Personally, the earth is screwed anyway. What we need isn't stabilizing the climate, or more green initiative, no, what we need is a space program and development into space colonization. We currently have all the technology necessary to go out into space and live comfortably, it only takes initiative.

The earth had its run but it's time to fold the cards and set up a new game somewhere else. As for other life forms? We have their DNA stored in digital prints and could clone them up somewhere else. Sure, I would take hundreds of years for humans to acclimate to space and other worlds, but we should still start.

The earth is a dying game. Say thanks and move on.
