Wei of the Dragon

This is a fanart of Wei Shen from one of my favorite recently played games, Sleeping Dogs. Man this was a great game. Despite mostly positive reviews, for some reason it didn't manage to make a big splash when it first came out. Luckily it recently got a definitive edition on PS4 so I highly recommend you play! It feels a bit like GTA but with really great kung fu melee combat, or like Hong Kong Action Movie: The Game. I thought it had an excellent story, impeccable voice acting, great gameplay and was well balanced in terms of how gameplay progresses throughout the game and what you unlock. And man, what a soundtrack. There's something in there for everyone. I loved it so much I got the platinum trophy :) (Smile)
For this painting I wanted to give it a sort of Kung Fu/B movie style poster. The dragon and eagle were done in sumi and india ink, and the linework for Wei in pencil. If you follow my instagram, tumblr or twitter you've seen the progress images :D (Big Grin)
