    Seems like a a pretty cool thing and something that should have happened earlier, seeing as how many of the shipgirls are based on ships from specific prefectures and whatnot.

    Although, I hope it won't make the locals mad, like it did with that diver mascot. Not everyone in Japan is fond of the whole animification of things, especially when it comes to the touchy subject of WW2.

    Well, if the one in the cover is Shimakaze or other shipgirls with sexy design, then I'm sure there will be controversy.
    That diver mascot design is really reeks of stereotypical, uh, 'otaku' design if I have to say.

    Holy crap, then this really is Shibafu's time to shine. Now I know why they had him as the main artist for the more important ships. Brilliant!!
