Looks like someone put too much oil in the turret ring gears or they added a too powerful motor for the turret.

This reminds me of my army time one of our platoon's Leopard 2A6's gun hit a tree... hard.
The birch tree didn't care much, but that Leopard's turret started spinning wildly and out of control.
Apparently the rather harsh contact had screwed up the stabilizers and the only way to stop the turret from going ballistic was to shut it down from Stab. Ein (Stabilizers on) to Beobachten (Observe).

This tells you why trees are really badass considering a collision with one caused more damage to the tank.
