...What connection does the movie have to the anime?
Don't read this if you plan on seeing the movie unspoiled. Kisaragi comes back from being sunk, but something's not quite right with her. It's revealed that there's this cycle where Abyssals become shipgirls, and shipgirls become Abyssals. So then Kisaragi starts turning back into an Abyssal again. That's basically what's happening in this picture. The movie is pretty bad anyway.
