The whole thing was done in two and a half days. Players were given 9. They didn't stand a chance.

Their mistake was having them drop money and mats. The first one to fall dropped a material only obtainable one day a week at a very low rate.

And even if you didn't need Demon Hearts, the Forbidden Pages and Infinity Gears are also very commonly needed materials and the last few events didn't give any of them.
