Then that would mean I would need to flag all 66 of his works somehow flooding this site. Hardly efficient, and the mods would still re-approve of it regardless anyway, because Dank Memes > Danbooru's quality standards

You shouldn't mistake your own personal quality standards for Danbooru's.

There is nothing bad with the picture, but nothing particularly great about it either.

Anyhow, that just means you are clearly not around enough to see this "Danbooru's Quality Standards" then. By simply search any status:deleted posts, you can see almost overwhelmingly 75% of unapproved arts by the mods here on the page, are at the level of technical skills and standards which are objectively better than Yoruny's in every regards.
But nope, only Yoruny got the special treatments because he always forced the latest dank memes into his works without a single creative integrity... and they all get a pass simply because Dank Memes > Quality Control. There's simply no way of sugarcoating that fact

I've just been enjoying this image board for that long while using the black list to not have to see what I don't like. Maybe you should do the same instead of complain to the point where a lurker like me replays to your comments.

The argument with "use a blacklist" is so off to me. That can hardly be an argument to not flag a post.
If I blacklist a tag, because there might be some posts that look bad, then I'm missing posts that are actually good-looking to me and I might even put into my favorite list.
When a post is flagged, then I don't have to artificially keep posts away from my active list of posts. That's what a blacklist would do abd I don't consider this a a valid option against flagging in general.
And if I blacklist such a a post that doesn't show a very specific fetish, then I'm going to risk to lose a huge mass of good-looking posts.
-> Put it into a flag so that Janitors are able to review a post. If they re-approve it, then I've to live with it but I didn't amputate myself for just one post.
That's why I consider this reason: "Blacklisting instead of flagging" as a really bad one.

I'd say the main thing is that Yoruny has a very soft style both in terms of lineart and colors, which makes their pieces as a whole fairly pleasing (or at least, not-displeasing) to look at.
