Is there a tag for that special low table used by someone kneeling, or does it just count as a desk or table?

Not quite; this is much smaller, only made for one person to sit/work at, and it's meant for more desk-like use, as seen here.

Hmmm. It serves the purposes of a normal table, it's just low because it's made to fit the sitting position the Japanese use. I think we should just call it a table.
