late post, but, it only really needs pasteurization if it is going to be stored (even for a short time, e.g. a few hours), but fresh from the cow (and in this disturbing incidence, being DRUNK by the cow itself), it shouldn't be as much of a problem so long as the cow is healthy, moreso if the drinker has drunk it before (and is therefore more used to the bacteria that is in there)
