Since not all of Yua's KanColle doujins aren't up on Danbooru, I will mention this:

Kamio Reiji despises the higher ups (majorly due to what happened to his friends in the past when the Abyssals first invaded the land and the seas), and he is actually planning a revenge against those disgusting higher ups.

This was mentioned by himself when he was on a "date" with Kongou in Fleet Journal Sequence Vol. 3

Also it is implied Kamio had sex with Kongou in a hotel at this time after she tried to comfort him (she regretted it later) :v

In the last panel, Kamio uses a specific term - 加圧熱空爆 - for the attack to be used. This is not a common term, but denotes an airstrike with specific bombs that create "high-pressure, high-heat" conditions (literal translation). I think it's safe to assume this is referring to thermobaric weapons, a.k.a. FAE bombs, and have tweaked the translation accordingly.

Thanks. I'm not that all savvy with military jargon, much less Japanese ones. I looked it up on Google but couldn't find anything relevant so I thought it was a fictional term made up by the author.
If you can, please check other pages for any mistakes as well. This arc has LOTS of difficult kanji and I can certainly use some help.

So nothing's confirmed, but all signs point towards Kongou/Kamio doing the deed, huh.

I swear this next arc is gonna have Kongou's death flag written all over it.

Why do I have a feeling something's not right?

a. That modified Re is actually a top-secret creation and they just want to fuck with Reiji, and then shit goes wrong.
b. The Re is actually a true-blue enemy and his higherups are assholes as usual, but are also threatened by it.
c. Reiji is going to disobey and risk courtmartial after finding out his superiors have ulterior motives. (This scenario is a cliche in our TV shows here)
