Better than "I bullshitted so much that I feel the need to preemptively declare the info I received was false and I am always right". Even when that info comes from the same persons he always states are fake news. Let's see how long this populism will last, but experience tells that will be at least 2 elections in a row.

You do realize that "fake news" term originated from the mainstream medias attempts to try and blame alternative news sources for Hillary's loss right? People just realized from all the times the MSM was caught working with the democrats that the MSM is the real fake news and the rhetoric backfired.

So you're saying it's bad when a democrat uses it but it's all right when a republican does? No surprise from you. :P

Anyway, we no longer live in the past century. So it's all good a dictator doesn't have free will to do a he pleases like in Hitler/Stalin times. Enjoy your Obamacare for a few years more. Oh and please avoid lawyer burying texts, I don't read them.

Without delving to far into it the msm lost credibility not because of Hillary but because of their need to report on bullshit stories to keep up the 24 hr cycle. Now those alt news sources on the other hand were for the most part misinformation or articles that only told half a story and they played a major part in forming the narrative, so yes the msm was right to call them fake news but by then the public had lost faith in the msm. Boy who cried wolf you know :/

Do you have to politicize absolutely everything you touch?
This image wasn't even remotely political and you decided to make it about politics. Another image, ruined by politics.
Oh, and you make constant personal attacks on anyone who has a political opinion that is not left of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
This isn't 4chan, 8chan, or Reddit - a certain manner of civility is expected here, the first guideline of commenting is even "Be polite. Senseless aggravation is indistinguishable from trolling...", and what you are doing is pretty much the definition of senseless aggravation.

Can we please just laugh at Aya's antics, the exact same thing she has canonically been doing since she was introduced and still hasn't stopped being funny?

I still think the encounters with Hillary were a big part, but you do bring up a good point about needing to keep the buzz feed going. On one hand you don't want to post bad articles, on the other hand you are competing to be the "first" with a breaking story.

I always look at news roughly in the same way I was taught to analyze targeting information. You gather information from a wide variety of sources (more the better), figure out the bias of each source (you are right, that all sources have some bias, to truly be unbiased means to not think), then compare sources to look for discrepancies (which may or may not be wrong), look for the motivation of the key players/factions, look at the big picture and see if the events and actions coincide with the motivations and timeline established by our current knowledge, make a temporary assessment, then put it all away and remind yourself that the only people who know the truth are the once who were there.

This whole book is about the political climate in the modern era, I mean it's called alternative facts in case that wasn't a clue. Trying to write it off as Aya shenanigans is simply being ignorant to the message in this work

No, it's not, there was ONE JOKE about modern politics. ONE.
There was ONE interview with Hecatia that can be construed to be a Societal statement (which is not political), but at it's core it's really just her explaining the socio-politics of Hell, hell's relationship with Gensokyo post-Clownpiece, and attacking the Lunarians - again.

I suppose Momiji ranting about her Job, the SDM posting another ad calling for fairy maids, Doremy selling good dreams, Tenshi complaining about having only Peaches to eat, and Yuyuko's food column are all about 'the political climate in the modern era' in your eyes.
A super majority of the book is just Aya's antics, like normal, so who is the one being ignorant here?
Zun has already addressed this : 'Touhou is not meant to be looked at politically.'
He said this years ago, and he has no reason to change the primary modus operandi of the entire series.
It was a joke, it was funny, it fit into the story, he rolled with it - there is no greater message to it.

(Edit: and yes, I voted down my own comment. Let's keep the politics away from the images, please.)

I should admit at this point I'm just pulling a certain person's leg for fun. And you're right, I'm taking this too far. I shouldn't take that race and nation hatred he has to the same level. I don't know what throws me off more, the behind the scenes racist remarks or the superiority faking at the cost of never been into the front lines fighting, while cowardly hiding behind an institution to gain an identity he has lost a long ago.

I'm just glad the amount of good people still exists out there and they're making sure for history not to repeat ever again. There may be problems for choosing the right bathroom depending on your own sex preference, but at least there won't be extra bathrooms for Mexicans and Muslims like there used to be for Afroamericans in the Pentagon.

I'm stopping these political remarks for good at the expense of knowing we still live in peaceful (and democratic) times. Better enjoy them while they last because resources aren't infinite and population keeps growing.

Either your very dense or you choosing willful ignorace, read up on why zun made this book and you can downvote me all you want doesn't change the fact this work is in fact political in nature. Just because your fingers are in your ears doesn't mean you can't hear you know

To keep things concise - the world does not revolve around US politics.

It may be affected by it, but the same can be applied to any of the other superpowers currently existing in this planet.

Please keep things polite and civil. Flame baiting is immature.

No. That was some guy from China who ironically I told him to be cautious about how he disrespects people from USA. I am just someone who couldn't keep quiet about "we crush the enemy", "if you attack us, we attack you", "the more fire armed the better" and such crap some people shout in here. Not realizing they spout the same they are told from their government as an excuse to invade territories not their business and not their attackers in the first place.

In any case anyone should be allowed to express their opinions as they wish (without pissing out on everyone's other nations) and I shouldn't be exalted about something so minimal. So I humbly apologize to the community for my bad behavior. I should have done what I'm doing now, ignoring his nonsensical supremacy rants.

I don't think so. Maybe I went a bit overboard with Republicans in general but that's all. I don't think I have insulted anyone for being an American citizen. If that were the case I would to those believing they're superior only because they were born away from equator (skin color and UV radiation is the key here). However if you think that way, with more reason I'm moderating myself from now on.

    The Truth
"More exciting, more alluring" was the motto when this weekly magazine was produced, but looking at it again, some of the articles are so exaggerated that they could be considered forgeries, and call for a correction. For example, in the article "Has Gensokyo already been invaded!?" this was the original photo. A small part of the photo was cropped, magnified, and used in the article. The reason was that this lighthearted chat in a busy cafe didn't look like a secret conference between invaders. However, while this method avoids telling outright lies, we now acknowledge that it is a method that invites misunderstandings. Many of the other articles handled photos similarly.
