If you mean http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Cowell then I don't see how you came to that conclusion as my comments are opposite to what he'd apparently say.

I frequently commission artists because I can't draw due to a disability. So it's in my best interrest that every artist around tries as hard as they can to improve as much as possible. I won't flower them over by saying outright bad art is great. You see that all the time on art sites and it does them no good. But if at least any talent is present, I think they should stick with it.
