Animu grils liking pudding seems to be pretty ubiquitous, so much that I would like to ask a question:
Do most Japanese consider pudding to be their favorite snack? Or is it just a stereotype? At places I've lived in or been to, it seems by far one of the less well-known snacks compared to several others.

It's a stereotype of kids - the same as liking curry, and hating peppers. Mainly because it's a sweet treat.
