    Akatsuki-chan who can't help acting all onee-chan-ish when she sees a girl with small stature.

    Somehow or another, she's Ikazuchi's older sister.

    Actually, Akatsuki is surprisingly old, herself, considering she's a subclass of the Fubukis. The Kamikaze class immediately preceded the Fubukis, so she's more like an older cousin. (9 years older to be specific.)

    Meanwhile, Akatsuki is about the same amount of age difference older than the Yuugumos. The really young ones like (the adult-looking, seductive) Hatsushimo are much younger than Akatsuki... Because that's how KanColle works.

    I mean, Houshou wasn't exactly that much older than her carrier "children" either. It's less about the difference in age itself and more about the perceived age difference.
