It's fun when people come up with the whole "western" vs. "anime" style thing, because you can fing hundred of illustration on this very site that don't even necessarilly match any of those criteria. Is an illustration of a robot or a character in full-covering space suit western or anime? Especially if you can't see the face?

So, yeah... I know what you mean (and thanks), but I think these are awesome illustrations in a cool style. If someone thinks they don't bellong here... well, their loss (I still think these are cool art and should be here... much better than manny another thing I've seen lately).

Danbooru is an Anime Art Gallery first, and a high-quality gallery second. Only anime-style art will be accepted. Art which is done in other styles is highly likely to be rejected. This comes straight from howto:upload. The moderators are known to make exceptions from time to time, but they are never obligated to do so, and those off-topic images that do get approved tend to get flagged to hell and back. So yes, expecting anything stylized like this to survive the moderation queue is frankly unrealistic.

And here we have the problem of not actually having a real set of rules rearing its head again...

Anyway, exceptions to the anime focus are based upon exceptional quality.

This is simply not an attractive image (and considering the -9 score at the moment, Danbooru's userbase is with me on this), and I wouldn't approve it regardless of the anime focus.
