Speaking of Yat-Sen, it seems that Wikipedia calls her Yi Xian instead. Does anyone know why?

    Yat-sen: Wade-Giles romanization
    Yi Xian: Modern Pinyin romanization

Wade-Giles is much older than Pinyin, and more commonly used by non-Mainland Chinese and westerners. Pinyin is slowing taking place of Wade-Giles, but resistance from older generations (who got used to this anyway) and non-Mainlanders are still considerable. Because you know, using a Communist creation makes you a Red sympathizer!! Holy McCarthy!! O The Horror!!
That was a joke, but old habit sure does die hard. Simply put, most westerners have trouble reading Pinyin, and most Chinese have trouble reading Wade-Giles. The last thing you want is having an article with both romanization styles.

    None of your business!
The Great Qing Empire was no more. Without payment, we almost got stranded in Britain.
