    Per the usual, translation has been secured for your viewing pleasure from the FGO reddit. Source is Itqan M from FB.

    And yes, this is a thing. Fate has made a robotic ninja girl from feudal Japan a Servant. How people will take it is any guess, but as for me personally...

    I am the bone of my sword!

    As this comic shows...just fine. I mean it already has demons, gods and such...a Robot from the feudal era isn't that weird...especially when done before

    Let's be honest, the Nasuverse has always been wierd: The planet is alive and tries to kill humanity, all vampires descends from the Man in the Moon, in a parallel timeline the moon is a supercomputer older than the planet... it just took a while tro become unignorable ^^;

    Since this singularity features Musashi, this must be from her alternate dimension, which lends one to assume these servants are also from her dimension's throne.

    While the Hashashin are the source of the word "assassin", they never really behaved like what the modern term has come to mean. They were actually more like guerrilla fighters, or considering their religious bent, modern terrorists like ISIS. They held territory in defensible mountain strongholds to launch ambushes upon Crusders or the Sunnis (they were a militant Shia sect), and had a preference for killing leaders in public spaces in broad daylight to sew maximum terror. "The Old Man of the Mountain" (King Hassan) was more like medieval Osama bin Laden, and definitely never carried out assassinations himself.

    and Fuuma Kotarou,

    Also, historical ninja weren't much for "I am totally invisible" and wearing noh play stagehand costumes, either...

    Wikipedia says:

    Fūma Kotarō was the fifth and the best known of the Fūma clan leaders. Born in Sagami Province (modern Kanagawa Prefecture) on an unknown date, he became notorious as the leader of a band of 200 Rappa "battle disrupters",[3] divided into four groups: brigands, pirates, burglars and thieves. Kotarō served under Hōjō Ujimasa and Hōjō Ujinao. His biggest achievement came in 1580, when the Fūma ninja covertly infiltrated and attacked a camp of the Takeda clan forces under Takeda Katsuyori at night, succeeding in causing severe chaos in the camp, which resulted in mass fratricide among the disoriented enemies.

    Ninja "invisibility" was generally "dress up like the enemy," and the plan was less stealth assassination so much as "infiltrate their camp, then set something on fire, and run away while they're declaring each other traitors and kill each other".

    What's more absurd are the confluence of deities from completely opposed religions (hey, let's have Christian saints have real miraculous powers direct from Jehova, but also have pagan gods be real, actual gods, too!) as well as wholecloth fictional characters like Paul Bunyan. This basically demands a subjective reality (similar to The Elder Scrolls, where perception really is reality, and a human can become a god just by getting people to worship him), such that folklore turns fiction into reality. If you accept that as a premise, then literally anything is possible if it can be imagined, and it cleans up a lot of the problems in the fictional universe...

    etc

    Contradicting pantheons can exist as long as you take the notion of "world" in their respective mythology as only referring to their sphere of influence(Poseidon only controlling the Mediterranean, Yama only controlling the Buddhist sphere of hell, etc). Hence why you see mythologies giving special attentions to local landmarks while being completely oblivious to things such as animals or races of people from other place of the world.

    In this sense, multiple pantheons can coexist, even ones that claims to be monotheistic, because the "One True God" only exists in their own sphere of influence.

    Of course this is iffy when you're talking about gods of something such as celestial bodies(Helios VS Ra VS Sol VS Amaterasu VS Tonatiuh VS Dazbog) of which governance cannot be divided by different entities, unless you count all solar deities as being a singular being, which would be far too messy in itself.

    In Fate's case as far as I can understand, both mythical(may or may not exist in real life, and in the case that they existed, the legends may be largely exaggerated or distorted from truth) or completely fictional characters(Sherlock Holmes, Jekyll & Hyde, Nursery Rhyme) can exist because Servants are "familiar copies" of whoever they're trying to represent and not said person themselves.(See every scenes in any Fate where Masters say they don't need to respect their Servant regardless of said Servants being royalties or demigods)

    Think of it like giving different AI programmings to an empty robotic puppet. Whether that AI represents the true history, is completely perverted from the truth, or was 100% made up bullcrap doesn't really matter, the result still stands that you now have a sentient being.
