are you dumb or something? JP players won't play it from the beginning if it's a KanColle ripoff.

Hey now, cool your engines. There's not a lot of information on Azur Lane yet, and people are still judging it to an extent based on the art in relation to Kancolle. Give it time and education/more exposure, and people will learn. It really doesn't help that a lot of artists are crossing the two other/are already known for their Kancolle works.

Great timesinker in the commuting i have everyday, the sorties are kinda long but still fun to repeat.

While I'm not a big fan of youkai-like designs for shipgirls, the gameplay beats Kancolle hands down. And that says a lot for a game: if someone asks me whether I'd play Azur Lane or Kancolle, (aside from some technical difficulties I have with mobile games) I'll pick AL without thinking twice.
That said, Kancolle Arcade looks pretty fun. I think the reason is that it lets players play Captain too, not just the Admiral.

Yeah, being in the thick of the action (like a ship captain or squadron/flotilla commander) is much better than just giving orders from HQ like an armchair admiral.

The 3D animated ship girls are appealing too.
