I can't tell if Yamato is going into Houshou protection mode or wants to wow the Admiral.

In this series, Yamato "supports their love" due to all the various misunderstandings she's run into.

She's not wrong, though. The only thing getting in the way of these two being a good couple together is that Houshou keeps wanting to ship Naganami with him instead of going out with him, herself.

The coat he's putting on her doesn't have epaulettes, so it's not an Admiral's jacket, just an ordinary one that presumably belongs to Houshou (since they're in her room).

On one hand it's a perfect opportunity for the terrible "I'll be your stomach warmer" response, but Houshou's just too...Houshou for that.
