As far as I know, they did screw up on a few character models. Though I don't think that has anything to do with EVO, per se.

It's a combination of a few things, namely the combofiend fiasco regarding "functions" as you learned recently, and the rivalry the DBFZ and MvCI fanbases have with each other. Infinite not appearing in the EVO lineup just adds salt to the wound.
